Submissions

  • We accept submissions of any genre and form of writing. You are most welcome to submit entire manuscripts via chapter, or excerpts of longer works.
  • There is no word limit for submissions, however please portion manuscripts into chapters or excerpts.
  • Please email through your submissions.
  • When submitting a piece, we require that it is formatted in Times New Roman, in 12 point.
  • When formatting your submission email, please include: your piece’s title and your name in the subject line, the piece in PDF format with the required font specifications, an accompanying image if you wish, and a short author bio of 300 words maximum.
  • You are welcome to submit an author photo as well.
  • Please inform us whether you would like feedback/the comment section on or off for your post when it is published on the site.
  • You will receive a confirmation email to inform you that your submission has been received.
  • You are welcome to submit more than one piece at a time, but please send them in separate emails with the required information for each piece attached.
  • We will inform you via email when your piece has been published on the website. Please allow for a two week period for your piece to be formatted on the website – though this may vary depending on the volume of submissions.
  • Stories Connecting Us will not make any changes to your work.
  • All copyright will remain with you. Although we will promote your story – with your permission – on our social media platforms, all copyright is solely yours.
  • This website has no ads, subscriptions etc. It isn’t the space we are wanting to create. Our commitment is we will never distract from your writing.  
  • We reserve the right to reject a submission if we feel that the content contains hateful, racist, homophobic or abusive themes. This includes any graphic depictions of sexual exploitation or abuse.
  •  We will be exploring options for grants and sponsorship to help this creative space grow. If you would like to sponsor our website, contact us.
