Jasmine Gibson   

Jasmine told her Nana Cathy Beesey this story, and her Nana typed the words into her computer. It was during Covid and they were talking on Messenger. Jasmine was five when she told this story. 

Once upon a time there was a little girl named Jasmine and she heard from her parents that her Nanna and Pa were coming to pick her up in the Flying Red Ford Falcon.  

Her parents said to buy vegetables and sweets and lots of toys and so she flew off to get groceries and vegetables and fruit and lots of candy. Jasmine went to the fruit shop and vegetable shop and then to a toy store and got lots of toys. And then she got some flowers. 

Jasmine saw her Nanna and Pa in the Flying Red Ford Falcon. She yelled, “I’m here!” They parked the flying car and put all of the shopping in the boot.

Then they picked up Stellie and Lucy. Lucy said, “I forgot my stuff”. They went to Lucy’s house.

Stellie said, “I forgot my stuff.” They went to Stellie’s house. 

Then they flew to Phillip Island and picked up Kelsey, Tahlia and Jade. They all flew to Noosa and saw Ethan and Logan. And then they all went to the shops and got some other stuff. Lots of sweets, fruits, toys and yummy vegetables. Then they went to the beach and had fish and chips and ice-cream. 

Then they remembered Bridget Bunny was at home and they all went to pick her up. Bridget Bunny waved so that Pa could see her. They picked up Bridget Bunny. 

They saw Jessie because she was waving. She was by herself.  They picked her up. 

Woody was in the desert. They all flew to the desert in the Flying Red Ford Falcon and saw Woody. As they got closer they saw him get run over by horses.

There were lots of cactus, so Nanna had to be careful where she landed the Flying Red Ford Falcon. 

As they were about to land the Pirate shot the cannon and got Woody so he couldn’t come on the trip. 

Bullseye jumped on Woody and squashed him. They were all angry with Woody because the week before he had taken the Flying Red Ford Falcon throwing everyone out. 

Jasmine picked up all of her toys in the lounge room and bedroom and put them in the Flying Red Ford Falcon and with Nanna, Pa and everyone else they went to Noosa.

Hi, my name is Jasmine and I am nine years old. I’m in grade 3 and my favourite colour is purple.

I’m busy dancing most of the time when I’m not in school. My favourite dance style is ballet and my favourite teacher is Miss Donna. She is very strict but I have learnt so much from her. I did my RAD ballet exam this year and I hope I got a good mark.

I love music and learnt to play the recorder when I was three. I have moved on to learning the piano and passed my first AMEB exam this year.

My favourite subject at school is reading and I’ve just finished the Victorian Premier’s Reading Challenge. I started a new series called Wolf Girl by Anh Do and read the first two books. I hope to do some more writing, maybe a graphic novel about a mysterious creature.
